Creating a platform for sustainable living and spiritual development through ancient Indian wisdom and modern permaculture in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Located in the Diablo mountain range overlooking Silicon Valley, Dharma Farms is an experiment in sustainable living that merges modern permaculture with traditional agricultural practices sourced from the Hindu spiritual traditions of ancient India. Dharma Farms includes a traditional goshala, or cow sanctuary, Ayurvedic herb gardens and an event space dedicated to promoting wellness, spirituality, animal rescue and welfare, and indigenous cultural practices.

Dharma Farms fosters events, workshops and a community dedicated to reverence for nature, the inner journey, and connecting people interested in building a more balanced and sustainable world.

Our MISSION

Dharma Farms is a return to a more traditional way of life that had sustained mankind long before smartphones, cubicles and traffic came to define the human condition.

What we Do

In a society increasingly defined by consumerism, stress, burnout and alienation, Dharma Farms provides a sanctuary where all beings can connect to nature and each other through animals, sacred Hindu rituals, indigenous wisdom traditions, alternative medicine, yoga, meditation and more.

GET INVOLVED

The only way to understand the ethos of Dharma Farms is to experience it for yourself. Visit, volunteer, or sponsor food for a cow — there are many ways to get involved.
